About AWE

The Association for Women in Events is an inclusive community dedicated to the professional advancement of women in all facets of the events industry.

In 2015, we started a movement that was built by and for our inaugural members and board of directors. Since inception, our mission has received global support, spanning four continents. AWE aims to be a community and resource aggregator, an organization that is inclusive and welcoming, collaborative and all-encompassing. We created the Women in Events Hall of Fame and co-developed the Events Industry Sexual Harassment Task Force.

Membership at AWE is focused on advocacy and career enhancement. We host hundreds of events across the globe, from Frankfurt, Germany, to Washington, D.C., USA, to Wellington, New Zealand. We partner with industry organizations such as IMEX and MPI to ensure that women are properly represented and provided opportunities for unique networking and content. AWE’s membership benefits include access to in-person events and members-only webinars, as well as an immediate coaching program, the membership directory, a Facebook group built with intentional discussion and connection, discounted rates from our sponsors and more than 40 volunteer and committee opportunities.
